Ridgeline International and Element have signed an agreement that makes Ridgeline Element’s primary partner in the US National Security market.
Ridgeline, a pioneer in data privacy and secure infrastructure solutions, helps organizations operate securely in the era of ubiquitous data collection and technical surveillance.
Element specializes in secure, decentralised communication. It is led by the team that created the open standard Matrix protocol. Element Server Suite will form a part of Ridgeline’s secure digital infrastructure, providing an enterprise-grade platform for autonomous and secure communications.
“The decentralized Matrix protocol, including default end-to-end encryption, is the right foundation for privacy-centric communications,” says Erik Wittreich, CEO, Ridgeline International. “Element takes everything that’s great about Matrix and puts it in an easy to manage software package that integrates seamlessly with Ridgeline’s existing suite of digital privacy tools. This partnership will provide immense value for our customers.”
Ridgeline’s strategic vision and technical innovation has created a unique place for itself in the US National Security market. “Ridgeline is incredibly well respected and trusted, making it our ideal partner for working with the US National Security community,” says Matthew Hodgson, CEO, Element. “It shares the same mission as both Element and Matrix; providing organizations and people with full digital autonomy, and protecting from ubiquitous technical surveillance ranging from Big Tech algorithms through to aggressive cyber infiltration.”
Element for secure communications
Element Server Suite provides organizations with a configurable and easy-to-administer platform, ensuring corporate oversight and control. It can be used to provide real time communications within air-gapped networks, with Element’s Matrix-based Cross Domain Solutions enabling connectivity between high-side and low-side environments.
The Matrix protocol creates a robust and resilient zero trust network that supports low bandwidth operations and persistent messaging.
The Matrix open standard also supports interoperability, turbo-charging network federation and enabling the use of any Matrix-based frontend. For example, both Germany’s Armed Forces (BwMessenger) and the French government (Tchap) have developed their own national messengers based on forks of Element. NATO’s NI2CE messenger is similarly built on Element - and the UNICC, part of the United Nations, depends upon the flagship Element app. If desired, all the frontends can interoperate natively across a federated network.
