Delegated Authentication for Single Sign-on (SSO) integration.
Make logging into Element simple for end users in your organisation by integrating with Single Sign-on (SSO) providers.

What is Delegated Authentication?
Delegated Authentication enables an organisation to use its existing Single Sign-on (SSO) authentication provider in place of Element’s default authentication system. Element can integrate with SSO providers including Microsoft Active Directory/LDAP, SAML 2.0, OIDC and CAS. All of these providers require different set ups but we support all of them today.
Delegated Authentication is included in both Element Business and Element Enterprise.
How does Delegated Authentication help you?
Save admin burden and simplify your security and access management.
End users
An organisation’s end users can log into their Element account using their single sign-on credentials (ie. their primary work username and password) making it quicker and easier.
IT team
Onboarding and offboarding users is a huge burden for IT teams. Being able to rely on a single authentication system to achieve this saves a lot of time.
